This game mostly is SimCity for children 7-12, in which they build their own small town and watch everyone work, and they also get to make up their own person. Their is no money, but there are resources to watch over, while making sure that all the people get a good education, and jobs.
SimTown was seen as the kids SimCity. It was less about money and more about keeping your residents happy, balancing jobs and housing. SimTown Followed 2 extremely unpopular sim games. SimHealth and SimIsle. Both so unpopular there are no screens on the web! Maxis really showed off there art skills with this game. Allowing 3 zooms to really get a close view on things. You were even able to peek inside houses to see what people were up to, the game was really getting more "modern" looking and we can compare it to games such as The Sims. Resources also had to be balanced along with employees and housing. Without enough of these buildings would start to decay and slowly your town would turn to rubble, a local newspaper would give your character information about the city and where things were going wrong.
Released in 1994 the game was availavle on Microsoft Windows, Windows 3.x and Apple Macintosh.
