Nancy Smith Interview	October 2007 Halloween! - 31st October Happy Halloween everyone! Being from the UK we don't celebrate halloween the way Americans do, so i haven't done anything special. But i've been searching around and found links to the best Halloween Specials from official sites and our affiliates (which is below =D) Have fun trick or treating tonight, or maybe, like me you will be hiding in your room =P. I'm trying to get things back on track for this and next week starting with the galllery! The TSS Bday Downloads will be sorted into the right sections again and ill make some more downloads for next week for TSS and the members section, the new template still isn't quite what it should be for firefox users, to be honest i've sort of given up, but i'll get researching and hopefully get it fixed soon! Simpedia Easy Cheat - 16th October The Sims 2 Wiki, Simpedia, have released "Simpedia Easy Cheat" which allows users to enter their favorite cheats as shortcuts on the game, for example motherlode could be Ctrl + M. You can also set it to do this multiple times! Heaven! To learn more and to downloads this newest device visit the Simpedia's MTS2 Post (it's also available to download in the new members area!) The New Members Area - 15th October This week SimsMad opened there new Members area. It soon going to be full of exclusive downloads and members and we have been invited to take part. Todays News - 13th October Castaway Chat The Sims 2 US have announced a Castaway Chat this Tuesday. Still got something in the back of your mind, you're eager to find out the answer to. Well heres your chance! Bon Voyage Blog The final BV blog has been posted on The Sims 2 US today. Zach and Sophie are home! Check out the Blog! Sims 2 Updates! - 12th October Teen Style Screenshots A few new Teen Style screenshots have appeared on the US site. Take me There.... I am going to upload them but you won't see them till next week on TSS, i am creating a new Gallery Page over the weekend, it will feature all the newest game screenshots, and if i have the time I'll add some old pack screenshots to! Anyway, back to Sims.... Castaway Walkthroughs. Another thing that has appeared on the US site are the Producer walkthroughs from TS2 Castaway. The walkthroughs are definetly alot more informative. Anyone interested in buying Castaway should definetly take a look! (although there only seems to be videos on the Wii and DS versions of the game! Watch the Walkthrough Bug Fix - 10th October I reported yesturday on a major bug found in "The Sims 2 Bon Voyage" and a unofficial patch for it. Well The Sims 2 US has released a patch that sorts this problem and a few others. Click here to learn more Todays News - 9th October Like i said i'm trying to get back on top of all the latest Sims 2 News, so here's a quick catch up. Plus some important information about the Bon Voyage Bug! To make reading a little easier, i've added a news page. Just click "news" below (on the homepage). MySims Chat The official US site have announced they are having a MySims chat tomorrow. It will be held on the MySims Website tomorrow. So if you're are still pondering whether to get MySims, here's you chance to ask a few questions! Next Expansion The next Expansion has been announced, but Simmers have been wondering what it is going to be called. SnootySims has reported that Game Stop has changed it's original pre-order page from "The Sims 2 Hobbies" To "The Sims 2 Free Time". It's hard to think how any sims can have any free time now, and although it is not confirmed, it is name for the latest pack! Bon Voyage Bug Alot of talk has been going on about the suspected "bug" inside the Bon Voyage expansion. The problem seems to be, every time you enter a lot on Bon Voyage, instead of the Game using an old tour guide, it creates another. And of course all of this extra space used could seriously slow down computer. The Sims 2 team have denied this bug being a serious threat, but to those suffering problems Click here to find a fix. This should do fine until The Sims 2 release a patch for Bon Voyage which will hopefully clear up this mess. Sundays Downloads! - 8th October Yesturdays Downloads are finally online! Sorry they're late. To make up for the late downloads, i've added 3 new features. A MySims information page, a TS2 Castaway information page, and a guestbook! Find these links on the menu to find out more! I'm taking a break for a week, so no new content will be added, but i will get back on track with Sims news! You might see on your travels that the other downloads are back online after Freewebs' Crisis. Everything should be sorted from now on! (I'll keep searching for anything i've missed though) Almost done - 5th October Some of the errors havent been fixed, a few pages are still missing (well not missing just not showing up) If freewebs don't manage to sort it out for me, i'll manually go through the pages and sort them out! On another not some of you might have been experiencing problems today, and the past week. Freewebs (our host) recently upgraded their site and since then many freewebs sites have been having problems. The Sims Spot is 1! - 1st October Today, The Sims Spot is 1 whole year old! To celebrate we are adding a lot of new features to the site, and here they are! New Site Look! You must of seen by now that we have a brand new look. This look is less about me being able to update it quicker, It is more about user experience and the whole look of the site. (Even i admit our last look was boring!) Sim Kingdom! SimsMad UKSimmers and Us, The Sims Spot have set up a new UK forum called Sim Kingdom. Anyone that has visited The Sims Spot before has probably seen my message saying "Tutorials up this week" and have returned to find nothing. But its actually here, and i have proof, click Tutorials in the menu now! Previews Andy from Nintendo DS Resource has very kindly allowed us to diplay some of his previews of Sims games. They can be found under Previews in the menu! The Sims Spotters! Our "Join the Team" section is being changed to "The Sims Spotters" Once you send something in, and we use it on the site. You get your own badge and exlusive access to The Sims Spot Lounge where you can chat to other members and get the newest downloads and features before they hit the site!
