Transform them from bumbling tourists to savvy international travelers as they learn new customs including local greetings, dances, and more to take home and teach to their friends. Send your Sims packing for the trip of a lifetime!
The Sims on Holiday was a great hit for the original Sims game so it wasn't surprising to see how well this pack went down. Holidays or Vacations have been mentioned alot in the Sims community and as usual The Sims division delivers what it's community is asking for. This pack allows you to take your sims away to relax in three locations. Three Lakes, a sort of "wooden lodge" or tent kinda holiday. Takemizu Village, an asian getaway or Twiki Island, the beach resort.
The new feature, obviously holidays =P, is fantastic, well thought out and rewarding. It's not just simply giving your sims a break from work, your sims get the chance to collect rewards, take photos, learn the local dances or gestures and share them all back at home. I remember using The Sims On Holiday quite alot with a load of my different sims and its the same with Bon Voyage. The new ways of organising your holidays are great, stay for weekends, or weeks what ever suits your sims! By far the best feature are the new activites your sims can take part in on holiday, and it's actually quite funny watching them fall off the log rolling and nerve racking watching the axe throwing. But not only that your sims can start creating sandcastles on the beach and buying jewellery from takemizu village theres always something to do!
The objects in the pack make it really, without them the pack wouldn't work. In the collections you'll find three folders, one for each resort with objects to suit each theme, there's also a very nice hotel collections with neutral objects for fancy hotels. Each type of hotel whether it be 1 star or 5 have a variety of different activites depending one where you are. Three Lakes is more about the camping/lodging the activites include log rolling, axe throwing and camp fires. Twikki Island is more of a luxury hotel/villa area with activites like fire dancing, pirate ship playgrounds and swimming in the sea! Takemizu Village is a hotel / village area with more relaxing activities such as massages, shopping and swimming! All of the objects are great quality and will keep you and your sims going for days on end. Clothes are also suited to the 3 themes and are a great add on!
Overall Bon Voyage offers a great getaway for you and your sims, it's hard to find fault with it. My only disappointment would be the lack of a snow resort. That was one of my favourites in "On Holiday" and I was looking forward to my sims playing in the snow. However the 3 resorts built into the game are fantastic and all unique in there own way. You and your sims won't be able to wait to go back again!
This year we are taking part in The Twisted Sims Community Exhibiton! What's it about? Well Sims sites can sign up to show off new designs and get their sites noticed in the community!
