A great all round EP. From the extra features to the new objects this Expansion delivers. Every Sims will have their own preferred hobby whether that be, gaming, cooking, nature, sports etc.... and this adds some extra depth to the game.
I'll start with the main feature of the game... the hobbies! At first I thought 10 hobbies wouldn't be enough but i was surprised! Each of my sims gets one of these hobbies to work from. The only dissapointment if the fact your can't choose what they enjoy most, but that's not much of a problem, you can steer them into what ever you choose. Activities boost your sims knowledge and understanding of their chosen Hobby and soon enough they'll be chatting to other sims, subscribing to magazines, researching on the internet, or even recieving passes to hidden lots all to do with their chosen hobby. These activites can keep your sims going for days on end (or you for hours!) it great watching how your sims become involved in the hobby and interesting to see what will become unlocked next. (whether that be researching on the internet or capturing bugs for your collection! Overall the new features incorporated into Freetime provide hours of more fun for you and your sims and the concept is a great idea!
Right then, the objects.... they're fantastic! I would probably say some of the best yet (well... activity wise). This maybe because i use more of them. Freetime is one of the 3 expansions (amongst Seasons and Pets) that aim to enhance your Sims time at home. Other expansion such as Nightlife and Bon Voyage have great objects, but all were themed to the particular area they focused on. This might just be me, but I find that i don't use objects that are placed in nightclubs in homes, but who knows, it depends on your style! Anyway back to Freetime. Whether it be the "Soccer" net, board games, ant farms, train sets (the list could go on) or anything included in the game, everything is well designed and the animations that go with it are fantastic! The realistic movements your sims make while scoring are goal or dancing ballet are, as usual, true to like and great! What ever your sims are into there's always something new and unique for them to do! Clothes.... again not a big deal in this pack, but there are some great new additions that again suit the them of everyday life!
So! That's what i think of the game! As you can see it was a massively positive review, and that's generally because the game is fantastic, it's gets all of your family's involved in something new and definetly one of the better EP's!
This year we are taking part in The Twisted Sims Community Exhibiton! What's it about? Well Sims sites can sign up to show off new designs and get their sites noticed in the community!
